Sheba came to us a very neglected, underweight and shy girl. Fortunately Jennifer and Gio offered her their love and home and have been giving her the TLC she so fully deserved. As you can see she has blossomed in her new home. Her new mum dropped us a line to let us know how she was getting on. Hi girls, Thought you would like to know how Sheba is getting on. I have been on night shift since we got her which has worked out quite well as we haven't left her alone for more than very short periods. I have her during the day and Gio is with her at night. She has put on some weight and her coat is starting to look quite nice. She's had her booster injection and is booked in to be spayed at the end of the month. The Vet thought she was a lovely dog who would be perfect once she's at her optimum weight. She's a lovely affectionate girl, great in the house. She lies under the table when we eat and comes and lies beside you wherever you are. She sleeps in her bed at night and now loves the collar and lead as it means walkies!! We are starting a dog training class tomorrow evening - so far her only problem is she pulls like mad on the lead and as she puts on weight I might not be able to hold her. She behaves well off the lead and comes when called 99% of the time. She stands like a show dog to be brushed and doesn't mind being rubbed down with a towel after muddy walks. Update: Hi Carol, Just to let you know that Sheba was spayed on Friday and is doing really well - poor thing is desperate to get off the lead and chase squirrels and can't understand why she's not allowed to. She's put on weight and we're going to a dog training class on a Thursday evening. Apart from giving a paw during the sit/stay she's doing really well with the training. It's really me that needs to learn how to be consistent I think. She is a brilliant dog and we love her to bits. |
